Three years of planning following our successful 2001 England trip sent us on our way to Germany in 2004. Fifty-some performers, family, and friends departed San Francisco on 30 June. Starting in Berlin, we headed south, eventually ending the trip in Munich on 11 July. Along the way twenty-one children, their teachers, and accompanists gave concerts in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Lendsiedel, and Munich (as well as an impromptu performance in the medieval town square of Rothenburg ob der Tauber).
